Welcome to the Hope's first beer festival for 2014. Being brave in the marquee :)
To kick of the year this festival covers most of the major beer styles and features quite a few new brews from some of our favourite brewers.
Keep an eye out for the changing range in the bar and the key kegs. We also have extra cider if thats your thing! As always thirds and halves are available as well as pints so try everything! cheers!
Siren 'Aramid' 3.8%
An American style amber ale brewed with Columbus hops for a citrus aroma to balance the strong malt
Three Friends 'Pale Motueka' 3.9%
A sessionable dry hopped pale ale mainly featuring the New Zealand hop Motueka which gives the
flavour and aroma of sweet citrus fruits with hints of vanilla.
Crouch Vale 'Snowdrop' 4.2%
Pale brown best bitter with a hoppy finish. Features fruity flavours from Cascade and Santiam hops.
Crisp and refreshing.
Ilkley 'Fire Side Porter' 4.2%
A rich, black and smokey traditional porter brewed with all English malts and with a blend of English
and American hops to impart a slightly spicy edge.
Blue Monkey 'Infinity' 4.6%
A very pale ale brewed with the popular American hop citra giving the beer a refreshing citrus fruit flavour.
Brodies 'American Brown' 4.8%
Williamette and Cascade blend together with a rich chocolatey malt base in this traditional Texan
brown ale. Very hoppy.
Arbor 'Greenhorn Rising' 5.2%
An American pale ale. Hoppy with fresh tropical fruit aromas, clean and easy drinking!
HopCraft 'Simcoe+' 5.4%
A single hopped pale. Simcoe offers strong bitterness with lots of dank citrus flavours. Deceptively
easy to drink for the ABV.
Magic Rock 'Punchline Porter' 5.4%
A literal winter warmer brewed with chocolate and chipotle chillis. The chilli, besides adding a subtle
heat to the beer also adds a smokey flavour which sits very well with the dark chocolate. Not a sweet beer!
Downton 'Hope Stout' 6%
A stout brewed for us to celebrate being one of the four finalists in the Camra national pub of the year competition. Lots of roasted
flavours with hints of liquorice and a hoppy finish.
Marble 'IMBC Saison' 7%
A cloudy farmhouse saison with an extra hoppy kick brewed last October for the Indy Man Beer Con in Manchester.
Farmer's Ales 'The Wallet' 7.5
A strong IPA from Maldon in Essex. A 'one-off' brew from Charles Saville, a legend in the brewing industry.
Brodie's 'Blackcurrent Sour' 3.6%
The latest sour edition from Brodies. A Berliner Weiss style sour ale brewed with the addition of
Siren '7 Seas' 6%
A black IPA brewed with the seven 'C' hops to give that authentic American flavour.
Arbor 'Yakima valley IPA' 7%
A BIG hoppy beast of an American style IPA. Dry and full of funky tropical fruit flavours.
